Complimentary meal during your shift through our Colleague Dining Program Complimentary uniform laundering Access to our comprehensive benefits and wellness programs, including extended healthcare benefits and RMT, dental, vision, and complimentary counseling, wellness sessions, financial and family planning through LifeWorks Access to our company-matched Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP) Opportunity to develop your talent through coaching and our Leadership Mentoring Programs What you will be doing: Opening and closing of the In Room Dining Department Processing of guest orders Preparation of In Room Dining tables and trays Serving of food and beverage Clearing of tables and trays from guest rooms and hallways to the Stewarding Area Cash integrity and cash out functions Other duties as assigned Your experience and skills include: A minimum of one year recent (in the past five years) experience as a Server Serving it Right and Food Safe certifications Proficiency in the use of a POS system Completely fluent in the English language, both written and verbal Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner Excellent organizational skills with the ability to use time efficiently A team player with proven success in relationship building A high level of responsibility and commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests expectations Broad liquor and wine knowledge Must be recommended for Front of House on SRI; WOO, Relator (Team), and Responsibility themes must be at predictive or highly predictive levels Impeccable grooming and presentation Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking Frequent bending and kneeling Frequent carrying and lifting NOTE: The position of In Room Dining Server is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be physically capable of standing/walking for 90% of shift, performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads. Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
