Machine Operator - Rewinding

You re Role Machine Operator - Rewinding work as part of the finished product rewinding team and is responsible to set-up, calibrate and produce finished products. Performing work safely, according to quality requirements, as per production schedule following standardized work procedures. Maintaining the work area in accordance with the 5S program and help to continually improve the safety, quality, and productivity of the area. This position will report to the Supervisor. Primary Responsibilities Wear required PPE follow all standard operating procedure to ensure safety, quality productivity Report safety concerns to Supervisor and participate support our safety program Inspect maintain production area according to 5S program Performs calibration of the equipment at the start of shift and completes the appropriate production and calibration records Perform first-off inspection to ensure product being manufactured is in accordance with the production work order, correct material, correct width and length and correct components are used Responsible for the quality of the finished product being produced, continually inspects the material being produced and remove defective materials in accordance with standardize procedures Complete production records, material reports with correct information as required Monitor supplies and inform Supervisor or Lead Hand when materials are running low Operate machine, inform Supervisor when machine malfunction and help is needed Keep the area constantly clean; pick-up materials and put into appropriate waste baskets; bale materials for processing Qualifications and Accreditations English communication skills - verbal and written Experience Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others Familiar with safety regulations in industrial manufacturing facilities Previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment considered an asset Competencies Positive attitude with excellent organizational skills Quick learner and inquisitive Able to lift 50 lbs Expected Start Date : ASAP Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Extended health care Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts Day or Night 7:00am - 7:00pm or 7:00pm -7:00am, 3 On 4 Off.
