Second Cook 
Position: Second Cook Coast Hotels is a dynamic and growing brand. We are currently searching for a culinary superstar to join our team. The Second Cook is responsible for assisting the First Cook with preparing and producing food items. Ensuring a high level of food quality, value, consistency, and satisfaction to the guest. A successful candidate will be required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare food items for customers using a quality pre-determined method in a timely and consistent manner with as little wastage possible Daily cleaning and inventory of walk in, storage and refrigerators for stock rotation and ensure all equipment in work area is cleaned properly Provide exceptional customer service to guests by clearly communicating and resolving challenges to ensure guest satisfaction Other duties as assigned Qualifications Skill Requirement s: Previous experience in the culinary field is required Hepatitis A vaccination, FoodSafe, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline is an asset Be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy boxes and standing for long periods of time Required to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays Others may call you a foodie, but you know you re much more.
