JOB DESCRIPTION: We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced IT Support Specialist for our Smithers, BC operations. Job ID: 290-21 Start Date: As Soon As Possible Nature Scope of Position: Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will join a collaborative in-house IT Team to provide both front line day to day technical support to internal staff as well as maintaining all company endpoint devices. This position will take on additional IT projects as necessary. Responsibilities: Provide frontline helpdesk support. Implement new and maintain existing workstation computers, printers, laptops, phones, and all related equipment/peripherals. Assist and take on the implementation of IT Projects relating to endpoints. Learn and provide support for specialized internal company software. Ensure IT documentation relating to endpoints is up to date and maintained. Assisting staff in additional IT Projects as required. Skills Experience: In order to be qualified, applicants must meet or exceed the following: 2 - 4 years of related work experience. Strong computer troubleshooting skills. Microsoft certification preferable. A+ certified or working towards this certification. Experience working in a ticketing system. Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal. Requirements: Applicants MUST be in Canada and legally entitled to work On call rotation required for after-hours emergency support. Class 5 License Travel to other offices may be required from time to time.
