Gain the reward of helping others and open the door to your career as a paramedic Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is a career-focused position ideal for people interested in becoming part of the fast-paced world of emergency medical response and looking for a career that can take them anywhere in the province. What you ll do Working as a rural EMR or PCP, every shift is guaranteed to be different, but you can expect to: Provide patient care and transportation by ambulance in pre-hospital emergency situations, using critical thinking and safe work practices at all times. Advocate for patients through effective communication with colleagues, allied health care professionals and public safety partners. Be responsible for the safe operation of ambulances (e.g. challenging weather and remote areas). Identify issues and strategies to address complex program or system-wide issues which will enhance service delivery and patient care.
