ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT Maternity Leave Coverage
The Tula Foundation is looking for a proactive team player and strong communicator to join our Finance team. This full-time position located in Campbell River, BC is a one year contract starting in January 2019.
Duties: The Accounting Assistant, reporting directly to the Controller, is responsible for a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: Full cycle Accounts Payable including approval process, purchase orders, coding, invoice entry, payment, and general journal related entries Full cycle Accounts Receivable Credit card reconciliations Banking reconciling deposits Bank reconciliations and payment registers Administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role General understanding of computerized accounting systems (Sage 50 is an asset) Strong attention to detail in order to consistently meet high standards of accuracy Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Excel and Word) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
