Job Title: Junior Server Host/ Hostess Reports To: Assistant Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Manager Duties will include: Greet guests in the restaurant in a warm and friendly manner Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism Setting up the service line, ensuring all items necessary for service are in place and in good working order Delivering food to the guest in their correct seat numbers Describe dishes correctly and answer guests questions when prompted Monitoring table paces and reporting back to the expeditor Interpret cues from guests, ensuring orders are not rushed or delayed Ensure cleanliness of all china, cutlery and glassware Communicating information from the servers to the expeditors, ensuring guest request, changes or modifications are relayed accurately to chef Polishing silverware Assisting with clearing and setting tables Assist with setup and take down of banquets and functions Record, enter, and deliver room service orders Serve food, refill water, provide wine service, and attend to guest requests during banquets and functions Other duties as assigned Requirements: Excellent customer relations and communication skills Previous experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel setting an asset Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, including overtime as required Ability to work well under pressure Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management Reliable transportation is essential Please respond to: careers@sparklinghill.com To meet us in person, please come and see us at The Black Press Career and Post-Secondary Education Event. - Free Admission - Bring Your Resume Thursday March 30th, 2023 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Coast Capri Hotel 1171 Harvey Ave., Kelowna, BC.
