Field Superintendent 
Position: Field Superintendent - Leduc, AB Job Type: Full Time Location: Leduc, Leduc, AB, CA Requisition ID: 1133 Savanna Well Servicing is hiring! We are looking for a Field Superintendent to join our team in the Leduc, AB area. We are looking for an individual with experience working on service rigs, preferably up to Rig Manager position. General Statement of Duties: Under the direction of the Area Regional Manager, responsible for overall operations, crews and equipment in assigned area(s). Supervision Received: Supervisor(s) as indicated in offer letter; reporting to the Area Regional Manager and other management from time to time. Supervision Exercised: Supervises Rig Managers and other field staff as required. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): Supervise Rig Managers and ensure all company and government rules, policies and regulations are followed, as well as addressing customer concerns; Assess and coach Rig Managers to provide quality supervision to their crews; Approve PO s, invoices, and want list requisition forms pertaining to rigs; Conduct detailed rig inspections and submit rig inspection documentation on a timely basis; Work in conjunction with HSE department to ensure all procedures are being followed, safety requirements are adhered to at each rig, and any deficiencies are corrected; Work with the HSE department to ensure a full and timely investigation of all serious safety incidents; Work in conjunction with the Human Resources department to ensure that each rig is sufficiently staffed with competent crews; Work in conjunction with the Technical Training department and with Rig Managers to ensure crew members have required training and ongoing participation in training and development programs; Work with Rig Managers in investigating and dealing with personnel, conflict, or performance issues on the crews, enlisting the aid of HR as appropriate; Work in conjunction with the maintenance department to ensure that each rig is in good condition and repairs are planned to avoid down time; Organize extra rig equipment as required (crew trucks, tubulars, flights, BOP s, etc.); Monitor all equipment for recertification and schedule as required; Process all paperwork in timely manner and meet the documentation requirements; Represent Savanna at operator initiated field safety meetings, stand downs and prespuds as required; Assist in coordinating rig moves, county permits with Rig Managers and trucking companies; Ensures adherence to operating standards and is accountable for field operations in assigned area(s); Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent role model of integrity and Savanna s Vision and Values; Strong safety based values; Strong communication skills including listening, informing and following up with others as well as preparing written communication in the form of reports, memos etc.; Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage a multiple activities and resources to achieve results; Strong supervisory and management skills including a demonstrated concern for others and the managerial courage to deal with issues quickly and effectively; Excellent information gathering, analytical and problem solving skills; Strong judgment in determining what is important and setting priorities; Actively develops the knowledge, skills and abilities of others; Demonstrates perseverance in the face of challenges and setbacks; Strong technical skills and aptitude in the areas of hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems; Demonstrates good business acumen - understands how the business works and the factors that impact its profitability and success; Ability to work well with others as well as independently; Ability to be out in the field on a regular basis, be on-call, work weekends and overtime. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; At least 10 years oilfield industry experience; Valid driver s license; Valid, related certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, Blow-out Prevention.
