DATE: May 14, 2019 PROGRAM: Family Skills PAY RATE: $22.02 BCGEU Rate Step 12 #Hrs. Weekly: 40 hours. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm START DATE: June 3, 2019 Program Description: Provide support to assist parents in the development of life, parenting and social skills, oer culturally relevant activities/supports while supervising visits for parents whose children are in the care of the MCFD Summary of Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in a related human/social service eld TRAINING EXPERIENCE: One year recent related experience OR Combination of education, training and experience EXPERIENCE PROFICIENCIES: In-depth understanding and ability to manage varying family dynamics, resulting from issues such as violence, abuse, addictions Participates in the development, modication and evaluation of client service plans Develops and implements an intervention plan within program guidelines Plans and conducts group educational sessions on topics related to family functioning Provides support, guidance and problem-solving to clients to address issues related to family functioning in individual or group settings Provides parenting skill building supports to clients on a variety of issues including parent-child interaction, discipline and behavior management Maintains related records and statistics and writes and submits reports Provides emotional support and feedback to clients Exhibits thorough observation, oral, written and interpersonal skills OTHER REQUIREMENTS Clear criminal record check Access to vehicle and possess and maintain Class 5 licence with a clear Driver s Abstract at time of hiring Submit Resume: Attention: Sherry Beal, Executive Director North Coast Community Services, 710 Fraser Street Prince Rupert, B.C.
