Rural Remote Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse Community: Cranbrook, BC Facility: Rocky Mountain Lodge Job ID: 1239772 Status: Casual An exciting casual opportunity is now available for an experienced Mental Health Nurse for the Rocky Mountain Lodge in Cranbrook, BC. As the Rural Remote Adult Mental Health Substance Use Nurse , you will be a member of a small MHSU multidisciplinary team that includes nursing, life skills work, and paramedical. The RN/RPN requires a minimum of two years in a MHSU community setting providing responsive assessments and treatments, case management, urgent outreach, GP shared care, education and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use. Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, Cranbrook is the business capital of the East Kootenays' and the largest city in the Rocky Mountain Region. Two years recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT), Adult Community Support Services (ACSS), Urgent Response, Elderly Services, Alcohol Drug, Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). Current valid B.C. driver s license.
