Maintenance Millwright

You're Role The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for ensuring the maintenance requirements in the FT Synthetics facility are being met through physical repairs and administrative duties. Responsibilities Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, or engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Record keeping of all documents and ensures all logbooks are relevant and up to date Responds to equipment/machine breakdowns in a timely manner and maintain a close link with production operations to ensure maximum production time Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish the job Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs facility maintenance as may be required Ensures all processes adhere to health and safety codes and record work to comply with all safety and quality requirements Other duties as may be assigned Qualifications Trade certificate or Diploma in Millwright, Industrial Heavy Duty Mechanic or Industrial Mechanic or working towards completion We will consider apprentices with level 2 and 3 with two years working experience in a manufacturing environment Computer literate - basic skills Self-motivated, can work well independently Building and repairing a variety of mechanical systems Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work at heights or in cramped spaces Safety awareness and a responsible work attitude Mathematical and mechanical ability; uses analytical approach to problem-solving Good verbal communication skills Physical Demands The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for long periods. A full range of physical dexterity is required for this position including bending, lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing, crawling, crouching, stooping and reaching overhead with hands and arms. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Schedule We have 3 positions available with the following schedules: Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm Monday - Friday 3:30pm-11:00PM Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Salary Range: $27.00-$35.00 hourly Location: Aldergrove, Langley Please note that our location is not transit accessible and access to a vehicle is required.
