General Manager 
Eniyud Community Forest (ECF) GENERAL MANAGER Eniyud Community Forest (ECF) , a unique partnership of the Alexis Creek First Nation and the community of Tatla Lake, is seeking a General Manager on a contract basis. The tenure area is located in the West Chilcotin around the communities of Redstone and Tatla Lake. The new manager will lead us in a vision of forestry management that brings two communities together in sustainable forestry and community benefit. Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: Registered or eligible for registration as an RPF or RFT or RFBio, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years working in BC forest management Well rounded experience including contractor negotiations, timber sales, silviculture, planning, budgeting Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a forest industry business with minimal supervision - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge and understanding of the ECF community and it's priorities High level of computer skills - In good physical condition with a valid BC drivers license (Class 5 minimum) - Willing to live in or relocate to the vicinity of Williams Lake or the West Chilcotin Responsibilities: Preparing and managing the annual work plan, business plan, and budget Negotiating and preparing contracts for Board approval for all contracted services such as forest management consultants, road construction, forest harvesting, silviculture and administrative services Supervising all contractors working for the organization and efficiently coordinating the day-to-day operations and activities of the organization Serve as the link between the operations of the ECF and the Board Responsibility for planning and inventory to ensure ongoing sustainability of the foresty operation and the forest resource Ensuring that operations are in compliance with management objectives and strategies, public consultation requirements and timber supply objectives Assure compliance with established standards for all forestry operations and maintain a high level of forest stewardship Pursue projects that foster community benefit and employment while providing resource enhancement potential.
