Licensed Practical Nurse 
LPN s provide the nursing focused interventions for program participants as it pertains to their medical and psychiatric stability in the program. About the Job LPN s will work in direct consultation with the Addiction Medicine Physician and as appropriate the Addictions Psychiatrist to insure that the medical and psychiatric management and monitoring of participants is occurring routinely and safely. As required the LPN will support transitions to higher levels of care for participants when their support needs exceed what is available in the program. This transition support may include arranging or providing transport, insuring appropriate clinical handover, and on occasion supporting client care directly at an acute care site. The position requires a flexible schedule that will include overnight shifts, weekends and evenings. About You Education Licensed Practical Nursing Current registration with BCCNP. Medical clearances and CPR/First Aid Certificate. Experience Six months related experience Skills Well developed interpersonal, oral and written skills. Proficient knowledge of group process and facilitation techniques. Good time management skills. Ability to work effectively with program team, physicians, social workers, and other community professionals. Conditions of Offer Applicants will provide three references, Driver s Abstract and a Criminal Record and/or Vulnerable Sector Check. Within one month of employ, incumbent will secure FoodSafe and be trained to administer Naloxone and medications. Within six months, incumbent will provide evidence of completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Trauma Informed Care. Costs incurred for training/certifications not provided in-house will be reimbursed by the employer.
