Clinical Counsellor 
The Clinical Counsellor will serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary clinical team for Recovery and Addiction Services. He, she or they will play a leadership role in establishing and maintaining the residence as a strength-based, trauma-informed and therapeutic environment for people in care. The incumbent will serve as case manager for a number of the participants, and will provide evidence-based group addictions therapy and one-on-one clinical counseling for participants. About the Job As the Clinical Lead within Recovery and Addiction Services, the incumbent will support the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures consistent with best practice. The Clinical Counsellor will contribute to the management of the home, and ensure it remains welcoming and safe and contributes intentionally to the well-being of all who reside there. The Clinical Counsellor will balance clinical methodologies with recreational and relationship-based practice set within a trauma-informed and holistic (bio-psycho-social-spiritual-cultural) framework of care. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings. About You Education Master s degree in a relevant field of study as well as registration with a professional association Experience 3-5 years experience as a Clinical Counsellor, including group therapy/facilitation and family counselling Training and experience providing evidence-based responses/ therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder and concurrent disorder. Knowledge and experience of comprehensive assessment and treatment planning, including familiarity with DSM-IV-TR Experience creating and working within a culturally inclusive environment Skills Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders Demonstrated crisis management, decision-making, conflict resolution, time management, and problem-solving skills. Conditions of Offer Applicants will provide three references, Driver s Abstract and a Criminal Record and/or Vulnerable Sector Check. Candidate must have use of personal vehicle and have a current Driver s License. Within one month of employ, incumbent will secure FoodSafe and Standard First Aid Certification and be trained to administer Naloxone.
