Metal Fabricator 
Position: Metal Fabricator The Metal Fabricator is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and drawings to assess solve technical problems. The Metal Fabricator will be required to fabricate components or structures perform quality checks. This role will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery such saws, drill press, mag drill, welder, grinders, measuring tools, overhead crane, forklift, oxy-fuel and plasma cutter to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. May occasionally use press brake, and iron worker. Qualifications Work authorization (Required) Red Seal in Metal Fabrication (Required) Metal fabrication: 1 year (Preferred) Full Job Description About Advanced Material Handling Ltd At Advanced Material Handling we design and manufacture customized heavy industrial material handling equipment for pulp/paper, sawmill, biomass, OSB, cement/asphalt, sugar, OEM and mining industries all across America. Currently, we are looking for a Metal Fabricator for the WEEKEND shift at our Abbotsford facility. Weekend shift hours - 6:00 am to 6:30 pm Friday to Sunday. Compensation $32 to $42 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Job Responsibilities Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to assess materials needed, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal. Fabricates parts and structures. Solve mathematical angle problems. Perform Quality Control Checks. Create custom templates for metal cutting. Operate Heavy light machinery such as: drill, welding machines, Saw, press brakes, shears, cutting torches, grinders. Handling material with Forklifts overhead crane. Flame and plasma cutting of parts Assemble, fit and weld metal sections and plates to create complete units or subunits. Install fabricated components in the final product. Preheat work pieces to render them malleable. Organize multiple jobs materials. Mentor apprentices help with their skill development. Keep work areas organized and maintain the work material flow through the shop. Other duties as required. Requirements Red Seal Metal Fabricator Minimum 5 years of experience Mechanical Industry knowledge Manual Dexterity.
